BeeSting, takes the "sting" out of cancer by embracing its gravity, while awakening the many gifts it bestows. The story follows the life and dreams of puppeteer, Lisa Sturz, as she uses different forms of puppetry to express the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of breast cancer.

BeeSting, the shadow play, was created using overhead projectors. The video on the right is a rough recording of an early version of BeeSting created and performed by Lisa Sturz while undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.

Lisa's broader project is a collaboration with filmmaker Diane Tower-Jones to use the shadow play as a centerpiece to create a full-length documentary.
